[It was a very, very good thing that Danny managed to spot them in time as the Box Ghost was carrying him. Very, very, damn good thing. Because they probably would’ve been doomed if he hadn’t shown up. He gasped as they appeared in his line of vision — he didn’t notice Dani, but he did spot Luigi, and they were surrounded by androids that the plumber looked too afraid to fight off on his own. It was time to step into action!

Wriggling his way out of the other ghost’s grip, and shouting to him,] Sorry! Duty calls! [Danny fell onto the ground, landing feet first — his experiences in ghost fighting made him reflex-prepared for such a leap — and he ran at the androids. Before they could even turn around and see what was coming, he slapped them in the heads with his thermos. They turned with a creak.] Hey, rust buckets! Why don’t you find your own city to overrun!? [WHAM! They came cheek to fist with his, well, fist, and he managed to slap two of them to the ground. Of course, a few were getting up behind him, and he cursed rather loudly; he wished he was able to shoot ectoplasm, because taking down these guys one by one was inconvenient.

Gritting his teeth and panting, he managed to grab one and using slightly enhanced strength threw it into some other androids, bowling them over. Now Luigi and Dani weren’t surrounded, since quite a few of the androids blooped out of existence. That wouldn’t stay for long, though. He needed to gather them up, and —

Wait.

Waaaaait.]

… D-Danielle!?

[WHY HADN’T HE NOTICED HER BEFORE?

And what the hell did the scientists do to her!?]

I can’t… I can’t believe you’re here! Oh my gosh…

When Danny falls from Box Ghost’s grip, he assumes there has to be some reason for it. Of course, he’d also spotted the green man from their previous encounter. Luigi, was it? That man. They were friends, so why shouldn’t Box Ghost go and help them?

Danny had begun to attack a few of the androids, but it didn’t seem like it was enough. So, Box Ghost raised his arms, and some nearby boxes began to knock over the robots. Sure, it wouldn’t do much damage to them, but if Luigi and his little friend were going to escape while Danny caused a distra-

Wait. Danny was talking to the girl. They must be friends, as well. If that was the case, Box Ghost would protect her as well.

The boxes began to pile up, creating a bit of a barrier on one side of the trio on the ground. That way, they would have to deal with less of them.

“BEWARE!!!”

As Dani spoke, Luigi did what first came to mind. He cringed back with his eyes shut tight. He knew he wouldn’t be able to wildly swing and hit the incoming android, not without hurting himself. He supposed he was going to get hit either way, at least this way he wouldn’t be hurting his hand..

Except…. the hit never came, in fact, when Luigi opened his eyes he saw a different kid. He looked familiar, but one of Danny’s powers must have been people not being able to tell the difference between his human form and ghost form despite the fact that they were strikingly similar. Anyways, a random kid just saved him! Luigi relaxed, only slightly, and scuttled away. Actually, he scuttled towards the Box Ghost. He was relieved to see someone who he could actually recognize. He left the human to rendezvous with the kid (which they looked almost the same, Luigi had noticed). For the moment, he’d hold some of the androids off with the Box Ghost.

*she closed her eyes alike Luigi, until…*

‘Hey, rust buckets! Why don’t you find your own city to overrun!?’

*The voice was like the light at the end of the tunnel, she gasped, unable to believe it.

It took her a few seconds, but when she felt Luigi scuttle away she opened her eyes, only to have tears well up in them at what was before her very eyes.*

‘… D-Danielle!?‘

*She smiled bright.*

‘I can’t… I can’t believe you’re here! Oh my gosh…’

DANNY!! *She squealed, running over to him and hugging him as tight as she could. A few tiny tears coming down her face as she sniffled* You’re here…! You’re here..! I’ve been so lost and confused…! *she mumbled into his shirt before letting go*

What’re you doing here? Are you in this sector? Is everything okay with you? What’s going on, what is this place, what happened to me?

*she sniffled one last time as she blinked* …Wait. *she wiped away her tears, gaining some serious worry as she pointed to his shirt and jeans*

Why haven’t you gone ghost yet?? You normally go ghost when you fight! Did they take away your powers, too?!

*The twelve year old, who wasn’t good at covering herself up much less her cousin, said loud enough for the other two in their party to hear.*
